Matcha is my love language. I love everything matcha. My go to order at a cafe would always be an iced matcha latte. So I thought of incorporating matcha into brownies because I was craving both matcha and brownies last night. This recipe yields such flavorful, rich, melt in the mouth brownies.

What kind of white chocolate should one use?
I have used a generic white chocolate almond bark in this recipe. I cut the bark into chunks and melted it over a double boiler. You can use any kind of white chocolate that you prefer. Chocolate chips would also be great for this recipe. I added some extra chunks of chocolate in the batter later for a nice bite once the brownies are baked.
Directions to make the brownies
1. Sift the dry ingredients, mix well and keep aside
2. In a clean mixing bowl, whisk 2 eggs with the sugar until the color changes to a pale yellow and keep aside
3. Melt white chocolate in a double boiler and add in the melted butter and vanilla extract. Add this chocolate mixture to the eggs.
4. Fold in the dry mixture and make sure everything is well incorporated.
5. Add some chocolate chunks if you please
6. Bake at 350F or 175C for 30 minutes if you want a cakey texture like shown here. Stop around 22 minutes if you want a gooey center.
7. Cut into brownie size pieces once it has cooled down, sprinkle a teeny bit of sea salt and drizzle some melted white chocolate on top!
8. Enjoy!
