Murals of New Haven

I’ve lived in this city for 3 years now and a lot has changed after the pandemic. One of the good changes have been the street art. The ‘Straight Up Art’ art program took the initiative to invite local artists to upgrade the streets of downtown New Haven with their art. (More information can be found here)Thus, creating a beautiful visual experience for locals and tourists alike as they explore though the bustling streets of downtown. In this post, I’ve highlighted some of my favorite murals.

Are there any murals that you’ve come across in New Haven that I missed? Don’t forget to mention them in the comments. And which one of these are your favorites? Mine is the 6th one which is on Crown Street. You can see it right as you’re walking past the busy street with restaurants on both sides. It’s vibrant and representative and bound to catch one’s eye.
